4th Grade – LIFE SCIENCE: Living Things and Their Ecosystems

SKU: SCI-FL_4_LIF Categories: ,

In the 4th Grade Life Science: Living Things and Their Ecosystems Kit, students will explore plant and animal inherited traits and life cycles, will consider how plants and animals contribute to food chains and food webs, and will explore how the ecosystem affects plant and animal life. Students will conduct research and will use principles of scientific modeling to make discoveries about pollination and seed dispersal. Additionally, they will make observations and conduct experiments to understand trait variations and the relationship between traits and survival. Building on these observations and experiments, students will use the Engineering Design Process to design a trait variation necessary for survival. Throughout this kit, students will analyze data to make claims about inherited traits, trait variations, animal survival in various habitats, and global warming; through this process, students will practice forming scientific arguments and supporting claims with evidence.
