Buffalo Public School District is the second largest district in New York State, serving over 30,000 students. There are 64 schools operating within the Buffalo City Public School District. Despite its size, there is this synergy across the district because of the community that they have built. Buffalo is a community that runs deep and educates across generations. Individuals such as Principal Marquita Bryant, Superintendent Tonja Williams, CTE Director Robert Harris, and Assistant Superintendent Kelly Baudo are dedicated to their students and working to create a STEM program that sets them up for success.
Woz ED Specialty Program Officer, Parette Walker, plays a huge role in facilitating STEM programming and training at Buffalo Public Schools. After many years serving as a teacher and principal, Walker has a dedication to providing top notch educational experiences to students within BPS. She oversees Woz ED trainings for teachers and staff, assists in assessing the success of STEM curriculum, and also works on a monthly journal highlighting student stories and accomplishments called, Woz ED Connection Magazine.
